Cardboard ammoboxes

I found the 2 ammoboxes among some regular 7.92 and 9mm cardboard boxes.. never seen this type my self,, can anyone help me out with informations concerning these 2.

Hi Jacob, I think that 8mm box is for the clip fed Austrian M95 Mannlicher rifle. The 9mm box will be for the 9mm auto round also known as 9mm short.

No Adrian, it was not 9 mm Auto. It was 9 mm Mauser, called in Europe 9 mm Mauser Export. This cartridge was used in Austrian Steyr MP and in Hungarian Kiralyi MP.

I agree with Adrian and Jan....

The 8mm are for the Austrian Steyr Mannlicher M95
and the 9mm are for the Austrian Steyr MP

Both boxes were produced in Austria after the Anschluss with Germany.
