SOS P.38 Meeting

Hi,

For those who wish to attend the P.38 Forum meeting at the SOS, the meeting will be held in the Edinboro Room of the Executive West Hotel on Friday, Feb. 23. Due to the response, the room is larger than the one originally reserved. Below is the agenda but it certainly is not strict.

5:00 to 6:00PM Optional Cocktail & Dinner hour (Recommend the hotel buffet due to time and travel constraints of going elsewhere)

6:30PM Opening remarks and introductions.

6:45PM Keynote speech by Per Mathisen from Norway with Q&A time.

7:15PM Handout of surprise information (Ron & Leon)

7:30PM Q&A with the moderators (Mark, Leon, & Ron). Also suggestions welcome on how we can improve the forum.

8:00PM Show and tell time (for the guys who want to bring something from their collections)

9:00PM Adjourn to the bar for those who wish to continue the conversation and get to know everyone better.

Let me know if you have any questions. This info was posted on the P.38 Forum, also. If there are any last minute changes before I leave for the show, I will post them in this thread.

I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Since I can't make it to the SOS this year, could you aks Per Mathisen a question for me?

In his book, "Magazine Spotters' Guide to P38 Pistols", on page 11, he shows a photo of an "AC40" with matching mag, serial number "2985b". Can you ask him who owns that pistol? or where it is located?

The reason I ask, is because I have it's brother, serial number "2983b" also with matching mag!

Sorry you are going to miss the show and the P.38 meeting. I am really looking forward to being able to put a face with all the names I have seen for years.
