i got to buy the wife a new vacuum

yeah i know its not exciting gun talk but when i buy her the new vac she'll leave me alone to look at guns and stuff. i need to vacuum carpets , not bare floors. she wants an upright not a cannister. a light would be good on the front and low maintainence and durability is a must. .up to 350 dollars is what i feel is reasonable. i am a quality freak and she wants to be able to move it without a struggle. i guess i am looking for the garand or k98 of vacuums. guns i know, vacs i am not so good. its ok to ask your wives. i really need the help. thanks in advance pitts

Beyond your price point and no light, but the Dysons are awesome!

You'd be surprised how much stuff you can get out of an already vacuumed carpet.

my wife has had a couple different dysons ,the animals is the best if you have cats or dogs but it cost i think it was around $500

I wouldn't recommend one of those Bissell vacs...I've got two (bought at the same time) and they don't work so well.

Think you might be pushing it re the light on the front .......havnt seen one of those in years, personally i put some biscuit crumbs down first and the cat does the rest !
