    Panzerschreck

Guys i have an opportunity to purchase this Panzershreck RPzB43.

I am not knowledgeable on these and am wondering what i should ask the seller to ensure that it is German WW2 vintage and not some post war phoney.

Any help you can give is appreciated.

    Thanks
    Gary

Hi Gary, it appears to have some legitimate age to it, so I would say it is OK?

They are repro'ed in the Czech Republic and friends have bought these repros at Beltring but this does not look like one of those.

            Cheers, Ade.

Its been postwar modified at the end with the bulge at the front and the triggr gaurd with wood is missing
im not sure they were made post war but i would say its origional but messed with and by the colour of the paint it looks to be finnish? reissue
If you pass on it let me know please

Hi Adam, I was thinking the same thing, that it might have seen some post war use in Finland.

                Cheers, Ade.

Quite agree, this is a panzerschreck with post-war modifications, problem is you will never really know with these things..... ...do you have the chance to look and inspect it ?

                  Nick.

Thanks for the info so far guys appreciate your inputs.

I do have an option to return or i can go and view it.

In terms of the paintwork are you saying its had a repaint ?

In terms of cost i can get it for £985 which i felt was a good price...perhaps too good which is why i thought there must be a few areas of concern. I did see one advertised in Gunmart for over £3000.

In its present condition is £985 a good price with resale potential should i then sell it on ?

                    Cheers
                    Gary

Yes gary the colour looks like common on postwar issued Finnish schrecks which seem to be the main place these come from
I doubt you could make on £985 i would say with the mods that is its money i would expect these to be about £1000 to 1500 in nice condition the one at £3000 is way over priced seeing as it is repainted!! i think this shows by the fact it is still for sale these are rear items and if one came onto the market i would expect it to be sold streight away if it was the right price
