Here's pics of ,my new Sauer 38. Some pitting on the left front of the slide and on the right in front of the ejection port, flash on camera makes it look worse, still hoping I did OK for 380$....Chris...

The "eagle/C" is a proof marking, indicating Police issue. You can also find Sauer 38 Police issued, with "eagle/F". You won't find any "eagle/L" on the Sauer 38s though.
Chris,
Very nice Sauer! For the price you paid, I think you did very well. Do have a Police "eagle/B" holster for it?

Sauer 38
Hi Chris,
Nice weapon. I got one similar off Santa for Christmas however, being British, mine is deactivated and is what you would call an 'expensive paperweight'.
Mine is also an Eagle C, and is also Eagle WA and SS marked. Unfortunately, the serial number is very difficult to make out, and there are other strange markings. At first I thought these to be the deact marks but now I am not so sure. Will post if there is any interest.
Weapon collecting is not my speciality, but it fitted nicely into my SIPO collection. Am desperately looking for a deactivated Police muzzle numbered PPK, but will probably make King of England before I find one!!

great find for a C marked sauer.
around here people want 400 and just for the damn civilian ones. I have yet to see any military or police marked sauer's for sale in person. and on gunbroker they can be found by go for over 600 if police or military marked, so you did real freaking good. but I keep going to small gun shows. I was recommended to go to a Lakeland Gun Show by Sun Coast gun show i think it's called in March.
