    Sers

I would be very carefully with SS Stamps because 99,9% are fakes
When the PPK is from an gun dealer near Vienna then forget it, he
has made SS Proofstamps for himself and uses the stamps very often.
If have seen a lot of 08 and 98k with that SS Stamps, he also stamped
    trench knifes and Zf41 mounts

    PS: Waiting for a pic

    GrĂ¼sse
    Herbert

      do we know each other?

      herbert sers

no, the ppk is from a hunter in bavarian, who had this weapon since the early 50ties.

also the rzm helmet came from this side

        Sehr geehrter Roves,

An SS marked PPK ? Anything SS marked needs very careful examination. Believe what you know to be true and not the sellers story. I cannot help myself but what about the high level US and German collectors here ? Anybody know of SS marked PPK's ? I personally have not heard of such a thing.

        Gruesse Craig.

I seriously doubt that the pistol's markings are legit...there are instances where PPk's were inscribed by the owner for whatever reason and there are some with retailer logos on them.....but no "SS" proofs.

            Hmm

            Hey guys,

I have seen an SS marked, proven legitimate, Walther PPK. However, it was a specially made comission weapon with gold plating and a personal inscription for a very seniour SS Officer. The price it was valued at was monstrous as well.

In October of 2005 an excellent series of articles by John Pearson was published in AutoMag, the journal of the National Automatic Pistol Collectors Association, regarding SS contract PPKs and serial numbers. None examined had specific SS markings, the key to those produced under SS contract had to do with the position of the serial number and the placement of the K centered under the serial number rather than following it. Copies of the articles are available through the NAPCA - http://www.napca.net/

When time allows I will post a photo of the example I own.

                CH47,
The later ones had the "K" centered under the serial number as well as the magazines.
The early ones were muzzle numbered.

That is correct. I was a party to the discussion on the NAPCA forum.

Lots wrong with that one. As to the SS markings - absolutely fake. That it is in combination with a Waa359 is especially rediculous.

The faker wasn't very bright as he used postwar grips.

I take it that you are not very knowlegable of Walther firearms, I suggest you read up.

I see the civil eagle over N proof mark but also WaA stamps? Shouldn't WaA stamps always be accompanied by eagle over swastica proof marks?
