    Hi PO8,
    Yes, all deactivated weapons carry one or two, or multiple, deac stamps.
    These are applied after the deactivation work has been inspected and approved at the proof house. The weapon is stamped and a certificate is issued.
    I did however once own a superb Police issue E/F that had no deac stamps at all......Don't know how that happened.......

      Yes it's the Deactivation stamp near the suffix, which British law permits,

        Too bad you can't avoid these stamps. The fewer post war stamps the better. I got post war stamps on more than one of my guns, but that's due to German law that says all civilian guns must be preassure tested at the Beschussamt. At least they have done a good job hiding the stamps on my P38. My Mosin Nagant has them on the housing unfortunately. Right where you notice them the most
