whats this symbol on a k98 mean?

a waffenampt eagle with little round swaztika under it and a large letter M under that , on a 1941 k98? What does the letter N on the bolt take down disc mean? What does the letter 6 looking letter mean inside the stock? it actually looks like a c with a line straight across to make a 6ish looking character? what does WaA26 signify?thanks. i am finished with my k98 restoration and hope to post some pix soon but i am not to smart on the digital photo and getting it into the computer etc.

The (M) is for the German Navy and the 'O' on the take down disk is for OST or East Baltic Sea Fleet... BILL

I looked at a reference list and WaA 26 is the inspector's code for an inspector who seems to have gotten around a bit. I pulled the list below from here.

In case it is not clear the story from the same site linked above:

When a Waffenamt officer assumed command of an inspection team he received a commission number and a correspondingly numbered set of Abnahmestempel or acceptance stamps, commonly known as the Waffenamt Stamps. If the officer was transferred to another factory he took his stamps with him, but left the rest of the inspection team for the next officer. These transfers were not uncommon, and this can be seen by the change in the Waffenamt Stamp number change in those used on the P.08 pistol during its manufacture at the Mauser Werke Plant.

Here is a photo of the Navy 'Eagle M' which I stole from somwehere else. Obviously this is not from a rifle.

In the german Kriegsmarine, the letter "N" was used for "Nordsee".
