    1937 S/42 Luger

Just wanted to share this S/42. I've had it for many years. It's the nicest one in my collection except for a "Black Widow" that appears unfired. I'll post some photos of it later. Thanks for looking Tomt

#3 What appears to be light rust near the side plate is actually a cosmoline type of protectant that I have chosen to leave in place--its worked for almost 70years.

Very pretty! That is exactly how I'd want my Luger to look if I had one.

Very nice. I like any type of Mauser. What is the story behind it?

                        1937 S/42 Luger

Hi Copdoc Wish I could relate some "vet bring-back" scenario with this one but unfortunately I think I picked it up 12 or 15 years ago at a local gun show and had no history to go with it. I will post some photos of a "Black Widow" with the capture papers, sword and dagger that I did acquire directly from the vet who liberated them from a Heer officer. Tomt

                          Tom,
If this Luger and the Colt .45 you have posted are indicative of the rest of your collection, you have a monstrously good one that any museum (or me ) would be proud to have. I'll bet the mag is matching too, isn't it??

What a nice piece to find at a local gun show. You must have the luck of the Irish(or better yet Bill and Rosco).
