    AC44 G43 USA Prices

    Hello,
I have an all matching AC44 stamped G43 (h block) rifle that I've owned for 10 years. It is in great shape and fully functional. I purchased it for $1,200. and am thinking of selling but I do not know what the going price range is for them here in the USA. I'm told reenactor grade weapons are going for $1,600. but this is all matching. The only flaw I can really find is the outside of the muzzle has been threaded with the correct thread to accept the period muzzle cap and the front sight post is not the type with the lock to keep it from unscrewing. It looks to have been dropped once and has a small gouge on the side of the stock that looks like it cracked the handguard.
    Any help is appreciated.

i would say $2000 there was a nice almost "duv" sell recently for $2400 but all depends ac44's are the most common of all G43's so wount get a great deal unless it is absolutely mint which by the sounds of it this one isnt

If you decide to sell it, post a ton of pics on http://www.gunbroker.com and it will get top dollar. I think in the condition mentioned, without seeing pics, it'll fetch upwards of $2500 if all original with no duffle cut. Good luck!

I agree with Gene. I went to the Small Arms Review Show in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. Similar G-43's with some small poblems were in the $2700.00 range. The barrel's had threaded muzzles into the "d" block for ac44's, some into the "h" block. best wishes,

          Guys,
Thanks for the tips!! I knew the prices had gone crazy for these but I was not sure just how crazy. I knew mags were going for crazy money as well. I picked up 4 mags for it plus 50 stripper clips a few months after I bought the rifle. I think I paid $75. for everything!! I'll take a few fotos of the rifle and post them on this thread as well.

Sepp... while a distant pic, the wood looks messed with... either sanded, woolled, or both... Regardless, these are ALL expensive in any condition...

Mags are going for 150$ and up from what I've seen, I picked up three mags with my rifle a year ago, got my rifle for 800$, has some minor issues with it, but nothing major. Good luck with yours, Chris...

                  Bob,
I can't say if it has ever been sanded but it it has it must have been light since the 2 digit serial number is still visable on the bottom of the stock near the wrist. I have oiled the stock quite a bit over the past few years to preserve it as best as possible. I had a tough time posting fotos last night, I'll try to see if I can post easier today.

Nice that it retains the sight hood too. Another $200 part that someone doesn't have to chase down!

                        Guys,
Back when Weaver was compiling data for his book, I sent him fotos. He replied that the double AC44 receiver stamping was rare. I never picked up his book (for shame, I know). Does anyone know how rare this was? I don't know if any of the fotos I suppied ever made it into his book.
