    New find ..

    Hi guys,i want to share with you my last find at the flea market this morning .
    This french pistol seems to be around 1840 era,perhaps military issue,perhaps civilian..
    There is some spots of rust but it is fonctionnal and in good condition ,just need to be cleaned a little .

            Awesome twisted barrel pistol!

            You can almost feel the history oozing from your new acquisition. It looks like it would fit very comfortably in your palm. Have you fired it?

              It seems that this pistol is a French infantry officer' private purchase second Empire.
              I'm sure i can fire with it because it work very well and strong !!!
              Too bad i'm not a firearms collector and it will never fire with me .
              I cleaned it a little today but not too much ...

                        it is a percussion cap pistol so it was probably produced in the 1840's-50's...since the pistol is still single shot muzzle loading, it hadnt yet graduated to revolver style. Great find!
