    Pistol - a 45 -- ID Needed

    Gentlemen,

    Can you tell me what this "Colt 45" clone is? As you can see, the name stamped on the left side is U. S. & S. Co.

    No idea and need your help.

        Who are they? As you can tell, I don't know much about firearms -- my father bought this years ago and I have it now. I have not heard of this company. What did they do? Did they make clones of the 45?

          Many thanks for the link. Learned a lot just by looking.

          I believe this pistol has been re-blued. My father carried one of these in the Marines in WWII and after and I suspect he just wanted a representative piece and did not want to spend $5K. I was astonished at the prices.
