    Mauser Pistols

    Hi Guys,

I need the help of this forums experts on this one, as firearms are not my strong point.

I have an extremely rare 1944 issued SS-Soldbuch to a 63 yr old Kriminalsekretar in the Kriminalpolizei, and on the weapons issue page it states he was issued with a Mauser pistol, serial number 247009.

I know I will probably not be able to determine the exact type of Mauser pistol issued, but what is the general opinion from the experts, as to what type of pistol this could be?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

    Graham

Model 1910 in .25 ACP or 1914 in .32. Definitely not HSc (SN started at 700000) and I think not C 96 (too big, too heavy).

          Mauser

I would say a Mauser 1914 or a Mauser Model 34 as shown below, but more than likely a 1914 because of the serial number.. The Mauser M34 was the last of this series consisting of the 1910, 1914 and the 1934 Mausers ..BILL

Mauser 1914/34 started about SN 505000.

                      Graham,

If we consider it as a Mauser Model 1914 (which I also think that it is the most correct choice), the serial number puts its manufacture date as something around 1921.

                      Wishes,

                      Douglas.
