bsw DSM34 w/ NSDMB Prop Mark

Anyone see this property mark before? I am curious how common/uncommon as it's not in Speed's book that I can find...

    Bob,
That's not a mark I'm familiar with. Hopefully, someone will provide some info.
    Thanks for posting!

      Bob,
Very interesting. It doesn't look like a retailer mark.
      Maybe Joe will know.
How about: "Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Meisterschafts Buchse"

Guys, I think I know the ownership... Just curious if this has been seen before on a dsm? I think it's an interesting find...

          Bob,
That's one I've never seen on a DSM, or any other trainer for that matter.
Perhaps you might want to send these pictures to Bob Simpson for his book on trainers. I'm sure he would give you proper recognition if he uses them. Very nice piece! <O</O

Perhaps a better interpretation is this taken from the July 1944 War Dept. Pamphlet "German-English Dictionary of German Administrative Terms". NSDMB is the National Socialist German Navy League, created in 1935 in Bremen from the Bund Deutscher Marinevereine, and comprised of previous naval organizations under the control of the Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine.

Bob, will you share the serial number with us. It is a 625C, no?

I looked in the data base and didn't find any NSDMB guns, not many for that matter in the 170,000 range of Simson/BSW production. Looks like a nice piece.

Joe... The wood is pencil numbered in the channel to match and this one is right. bsw ended K98 production in about '39, so I'd suspect this one is a late 30's dsm??

What does your database tell you for possible yr of production and total dsm production by bsw?? Thanks...BiO

I know that this is an old thread but I ran across it when trying to find out more on the NSDMB mark on a BSW DSM-34 I just purchased. It happens to have the same small BSW Logo as the other rifle and the serial number is is within a 1000 of the first rifle. My sn is 178xxx. My mark is in the same position on the same spot on the rifle. I didn't purchase the rifle for the mark but to get closer to completing my Simson/BSW Model W 625 collection. Mine is not as nice as someone tapped the rifle for a scope. I would like to find more out about this association and why they would want/need training rifles. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be appreciative.
