Nice guns guys! You got to love these U.S. Nagants. Of all the Mosin-Nagants produced, did these have the best overall quality, as apposed to the famous "Soviet Wartime Quality"

Well...I'm not an expert on Russian arms but it is better than the other Russian rifles that I own.

I remember seeing an article in Gun Digest,not sure what year it was.
It talked about the Pederson device for the mosin-nagant. They were sent to Archangel, not sure what happened to them.Comment

I have a 03 springfield cut for the Peterson Device but I never knew that there was one for the Mosin Nagant are you sure??????????????BILLComment

Hi Bill, it is also mentioned in Terence Lapin's book on the Mosin-Nagant, page 138. But no evidence is offered.

I am very very positive. The author didn't have a pederson device for the Springfield since they were cut and torched back in the 20s because, hence the term,"The war to end all wars".Originally posted by BILL GRIST View Post

Guys, I have a non-import Remington Nagant as well.....I don't believe mine ever made it overseas......No extra proofs any where.....As the story goes, this kid's Grandfather got it during/after WW1......Sat in his closet untouched for next to forever.....Unfortunately the kid wanted to take it apart after he got it.....Tried to remove the recoil lug.....Lost the spanner nut and left a nice 3" + scratch along the side of the stock.....
Other than that, everything else is in minty condition.....Bodes
