Latest find! Sauer 1913 Police Rig!

Just got back from the gun show, and I picked up this sweet little honey on my way home! It is a Sauer 1913 police rig. Very rare to find a police holster such as this one here.

As you can see this holster is very simular to the Sauer 38h police holster that I showed, only smaller.
Holster is in excellent condition both front and back

Right side view shows off this beautiful small SLP. Note the "S&S" grips are perfect, and the lovely high polish finish.

top of the slide shows the makers full name, "J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl" followed by Sauers' early logo of a man standing and holding a large club."

What a sweet pistol! Are you planning to go to the range and test it? If you are, please let us know how it shoots. Congratulations!

The outdoor range that I usually go to is still closed for winter. I think it opens up in late April or early May. I will definately take this baby there to test it out. I'm sure it will shoot great though! I'll let you know the results! Thanks!

                      Nice

                      Matt,
NICE FIND, The Sauer's are very nicely made and command attention ( Thank god most people walk past them normally ). I think as time goes by they will go up in value, they often can be found at really acceptable prices.
The quality in the finish reflects the superb effort of the now gone Sauer factory and workers.
                      AGAIN, nice find!
                      Regards,
                      Robert
PS. Matt I will post some goodies soon also.

                        Robert,

I totally agree with you! I consider J.P. Sauer to be like the "Cadillac" of gun makers in Europe from 1900-1945. Just by looking at their rifles, pistols, and shotguns, you can tell the difference in quality. Every part is finely machined, finish is immaculate! Details are superb!

I did get this rig at a very good price! I won't say exactly, but let's just say it was under $400!!! and you're right, most people would have passed this up!?

Don't get me wrong, I love DWM, Mauser, Walther, FN Browning, and the others, but there is just something special about a Sauer gun!?

                        Matt
