    Will 8x33 ammo fire out of an MP44 which normally fires 7.92x33 without any problems?

    It's the same ammo.
    In Germany (wartime) the designations were
    - 7,92mm x 33 or
    - 7,92mm x 33 PP 43 or Pi. Pa. 43 for "Pistolenpatrone"

    Today it's name is here given by law 7,92mm x 33 kurz.

    It's the same as with the 8mm x 57/7,92mm x 57 cartridge. International and German designations.
