German Over and Under?

Sorry if this is off topic, I am wondering if there is a such thing as a german made over and under shotgun that is a cheaper alternative to an Merkel (Wish I could afford one) I am looking at something in the $2000 price range.

Mike, hit the gun shows in your area, you should see plenty of WWII period or earlier "bring-backs" in 16 and 12 gauge. Watch for the Fargo gun show in particular it used to yield alot of double guns.

You might also try the online gun auction sites like gunbroker.com.
Three years ago I picked up a restocked Luftwaffe marked 12 gauge O/U Merkel for $1000 on one of the sites.

Here in Germany - no. Over/under shotgun = Bockdoppelflinte below 2000.- Euro just used or not German made.

Sounds like I will go with a Beretta or Franchi

A Merkel O/U will be on my list when I can afford it.
