    Bolt Removal on K98

    I was shown how to remove the bolt on my K98 last week, but killed some brain cells this week on a business trip

    Can someone please explain it again to me again?

    To take down the Mauser bolt, lift the bolt handle, pull it back to ene sure the chamber is empty. Close the bolt and turn the safety catch to the vertical position. Open the bolt again, and pull it back until it stops. Push the forward end of the bolt stop out as far as it can go. The bolt can now be withdrawn from the rifle.

    If you need further instructions on how to strip the bolt please ask.
