Well used rifle, but nice. Will clean up nicely I think. And Perry...My both big toenails are also pink. My wife painted the toenails of my daughter and she wanted dad also pink toenails...so join the club!

Nice rifle Perry. byf 42s are tough to find. No comment on the toes. Guess you must have dropped the rifle on them.

nice one Perry. I have its younger brother. a byf '43 all matching K98. its in about the same condition. people who viewed it say its untouched/uncleaned. I got mine from a military gun collector. I never shot it but its fully functional. theyre a sweet lookin' weapon. Glenn

I got a byf43 from the vets family a couple years ago that was a 9.5 out of a ten in condition(do a forum search to see it). I doubt if I'll ever get a better condition Third Reich firearm from the vets family again but this was a nice treat as its been dry for many months..

Willi's right......'42 dated rifles can be tough to find.....I think the majority of these were "lost" in Russia or just merely through attrition.....I too like its condition.....Untouched stock, untouched everything....Just reeks with authenticity and in the condition it's been since the end of the war.....Bodes
