cz 27 phoney?

Hello everyone, glad to be here on the forum.I have a question regarding a cz 27 I picked up.The gun was said to be brought back from ww2 by a friends father. The gun has CESKA ZBROJOVKA A.S.v PRAZE on the top rib of the gun.On the right side it has NB 46 with a lion in the middle. The left side just says KAL 27.The serial number is 507xxx The holster is smoothe light brown with a eagle swastica with WaA76 on the back, and nothing else. The grips are black, with a circle but no cz..The mags loofk just like cz mags, but they say Mexico on the lip of each mag.I thought that they stopped using ceska zbrojovka after 1939.Does this gun sound correct?Thank you very much,Rob

The slide top stamp and SN suggest that your vz27 pistol is post-war. Eagle/N is a commercial Czech proof.

Here's some maker information on the holster for WaA76.

-Ceska Zbrojovka, Strakonitz bei Prag, Tschechoslowakei : (P.27(t) holster : 1939)
-Böhmische Waffenfabrik A.G., Werk Strakonitz bei Prag, Tschechoslowakei : (P.27(t) holster : 1939 - 41)

The gun is O.K., grips too, both early postwar. The seller is a liar or he brought it back from another war (joke). The NB Lion 46 means Narodni Bezpecnost - National Security, 46 is a year of acceptance. Mag must be aftermarket, nothing to do with Czech Republic.

Well I did buy the gun and not the story.I was driving home, when I saw mexico on the mag .I pictured the soldier comming home from germany by way of mexico and asking the locals where he could find cz27 mags .My books stated that the ceska zabojovka marked guns were pre german occupation. They also stated that the post war guns would have a narodoni podnik slide legend.I will say this, that the gun barely looks fired, and has a roal blue finish. The holster is also nice, but it has no other markings than discribed.I hope I got it cheap enough but I liked it.Thank you everyone for the help.I also noticed that the inside of the holster button looks kind of like a mum and says Plar or it could be Slar?

The early postwar slide marking between the sights is
ČESK******193; ZBROJOVKA A.S. v PRAZE found in SN range 461XXX - 581XXX.

The late postwar slide is marked on left side CZ in the ring - CESKA ZBROJOVKA NARODNI PODNIK - 7,65 IN THE RING / STRAKONICE found in SN range 559XXX - 621XXX

About price I can not help you. In Czech conditions is $200 equivalent fair price. For price ask my friend Robert bohemian10@comcast.net.
