    How about a Smoke Pole?

OK in keeping with my old gun theme, here is a Sharps New Model 1863 Carbine that was issued to Co E of the 7th Indiana Volunteer Cavalry. The Maynard Tape Primer is still extant and it is a surprisingly good shooter....though with the 500 grain slugs it does jar you a bit!

Gary, please tell me, reassure me, that you don't shoot this beauty!

              Hi Gene,

Yes I do shoot this one, along with almost every other firearm I own. I load the proper loads with the proper bullets and the proper powder so there is no chance to hurt it. I then of course properly clean them! The only weapon I will not shoot is my G43. Everytime I would pull the trigger it felt like it was coming apart. It wasn't of course, it just felt that way...so that one I don't shoot just because I don't like the way it feels.

              Cheers
              Gary
