P-38 cvq

A friend of mine in canada asked me to post photos of his P-38 cvq in here. Can anyone tell him when it was made and what this star or mark is that is on the right side..
We know that it is late war, as off the cvq, and the rough making of it.

Hi Jacob,

The asterisk on the frame means that the frame was initially rejected but repairable.

So, according to the chart, you friend's gun was made in March, 1944.
