    Mp44

Parts sets difficult to find.Barrels are a NO NO to import. So,you get the trigger set up,wood stock, metal barrel stock and misc.parts like the dust cover. Then you get the important stuff like the charging rod and floating firing bolt/pin.

I know of one person who might have some of these parts. What do you need?

      kit

a complete kit usually MINUS a torch cut receiver will run you 2800-3000 +. If a torch cut receiver is there add more, allllllllll matching kit ADD lots more. The kits are about 50/50 on if it comes with a magazine most NOT if NOT then my above price stands 2800-3000, if YES and comes with a mag add more, if more than 1 mag add even more. I would say please correct me if i am wrong and all matching parts kit with the matching torch cut recevier and 2 mags would run you 4500. Now a parts kit not matching with ANY kind of torch cut receiver and 1 mag will run a hair over the 3000-3500 tops, even on the day when the gotta have it ppl are out shopping . Let me know if i am out of touch on my pricing fellas.

Unfortunately,Vaughn, you are correct.Like the MP40 kits that could be bought for $300 now command $2500-3000 a set.
The MP44/STG44 kits were $400 that included one magazine(about$275 today)command $3000-4000 depending on condition.
So,the one contact I know is a teacher that collected these kits(even M1A1)Do not know if he has any or what price he would sell them for.If you want me to ask I will try to contact him.
So many were sent to Egypt or North Africa. Some still exist in armorys in the former Soviet Union.Saw a picture of an MP42(W).WOW,talk about rare!!
          Good luck!!

It's a federal law regarding parts kits. Today, the parts kits are required to be "torch cut", meaning a blowtorch was used to cut the receivers. This process removes a 1/4" of material per cut, making it much harder to reweld the kit together than if they were saw cut. "Saw cut" means that the kit was literally cut with a saw...i/e: hack saw, etc. These are WAY easier to rebuild into semi's or dummy guns, as well as being far less damaging on the kit, due to not removing any of the material in the receiver.

Shame they have to be cut up at all, though.
