K98????

Alright guys this one has me stumped. A friend of mine picked this up at a show and called me saying he got a K98 and ut had "swastika's all over it" This is strange because all the proofs are, are swastika's no eagles. Also the gun is all matching and has a strange serial number AF6757. Its also marked 43 on the crown of the reciever. The bayonet lug has a pin going through you need to hammer out to get the handgaurd and sling keeper off. So my question is what the hell is this thing? also whats the AF mean?

Backwards swaztikas are indicative of Nationalist Chinese Mausers.

Other than that, I am clueless.

Don't yugoslavia VZ24 mausers have a 2 digit letter code before their serial number?Notice that there is no bolt takedown circle in the stock nor is there a cut in the stock for a sling. I think somebody had a backwards swastika punch and went to town on a VZ24.
