    toledo show japanese pistol find

i just picked these up from the toledo show this past weekend. both type 14 and 94 are 19.2 dates, matching mags, and in very nice condition. there was a great lot of japanese stuff for sale, i just wish i had enough funds to get all i wanted. i also picked up some medals, some kind of japanese sash, and a 2nd lt officers tunic. did anyone else go and see the type 2 paratrooper and type 44 carbine he had? regards,,mike

Very nice find. Those are tough to find in that condition.

Did they have 2 matching mags or one. Any holsters??

each gun had only the single matched mag. i can live with that. there was a holster for the type 14, but the gun did not originally come in it, so i skipped getting it. i already had that type(leather) and saved the $400.00 he was asking for the holster alone! oh, it did have a spare firing pin, but i still didnt want it. did i pass up a good deal on that?

I think you passing on the holster with spare firing pin, Was no big deal at $ 400.00. You see them from time to time at that price, Unless it was a rare leather Holster you usually don,t see.

                  Michael,
                  Nice looking stuff.
That was a little pricey for the holster. Minty ones will bring that, especially if they still have the shoulder strap.
Careful with the 94, they are addictive.

                    Hi Michael,
Thats a great pair you found up there.

Fritz puts on a great show that I always try to attend. To bad I missed this last one. Did Robert Hassler set up this time?

i agree about the type 94 pistols, once you start, it is hard not to acquire any and all that present themselves at reasonable prices.i now have 3 type 94s the latest a 20.5 with wooden grips. ...................now if i had just purchased that baby nambu at the ohio gun collectors show about 15 years ago! regards,,mike

                              27?!!!! You're out of control
                              It's a sickness that's for sure.

I can't pass on a nice 94 either. The good thing is that they seldom show up around here and the prices are usually fair.
