Anybody know anything about a short K98 ? Its a byf 43 and is a fair bit shorter than a normal 98 Cheers for any help

Short K98
Whit out pictures its hard to tell you. Sounds like is might have been shorten by a GI to bringing it home or maybe it was sportorized by someone else to deceive someone.Just my opinion. Need pictures to really tell. From what I have seen there were no shoter BYF,s Than the standard K98, Just 33/40 Mountion K98,s & 24 T,s. Someone Else can Shed some light on this. -
It is in semi relic condition with woodworm and came straight out of a loft in Normandy. The barrel is actually shorter than a standard 98k, it is also marked mod98 in the usual position.Comment
