WTP Model 2 Mauser Bringback

Here are a few shots of what I consider an intriguing little pocket pistol. It is the Mauser WTP-2. They were manufactured in the late 1930's and are fairly scarce little pistols.
Some are reported with E/N proofs.
The holster is a vest pocket style brain tanned pouch. It protects the gun and at the same time prevents it from sliding around inside your pocket.

Very nice weapon. It's interesting that the capture papers are dated
some 7 months after V-E day...
I guess you could still bring back war trophies late in the game !!!

That, in fact, is more common than wartime dated paperwork. I guess after things settled down during the occupation they had time to mail their souvenirs home.
I think somewhere in my pile of stuff I have a bringback document dated 1947!
