I have one with out a scope base Same condition same code, All matching
Nick,
I've had it for a while.
Post some photos! It would be nice to compare them.
I don't know what they would bring right now in this condition. The prices G-43's is out of control. I don't know if the same interest it there for the G- 41's but there is no doubt that they are much harder to come by than a G-43.

I knew you were going to ask that question, So I went and dug it out. Some photos did not come out . I will post the clear ones I have. My serial is 259 f
Nick,
That's a nice one! It is interesting that the bluing is fading around the muzzle and rear barrel band the same as mine.
I saw another one with very simmilar patina last year.
Have you shot it?
I shot mine and it functioned very well.

No I have not shot it. I have had it for about 15 years.Back then I paid $900.00. I have a G43 that I use for deer hunting. And it works very well. Have shot a couple of bucks with it. Most of my rifles I have never shot. I just admirer them. When I was younger I use to shoot a lot. Now I just go deer hunting once a year. Since I use a g43 hunting for a week 12 hours a day I kinda know what the german soldier felt like carrying around that heavy rifle. It gets heavy.
Sometimes I use a K98. That works alot better.
Very nice weapons, both of you own there. I would be very proud to own either one of them !!
For some reason they don't show up on the radar scopes very often, not sure why though.....
Very nice though.
Good keep it heavy. Resist the urge to bubbafy it. Just kidding. I could imagine hunting with a military rifle. I will this deer season with my T99.
How much was your G43?
Josh,
Be patient, all things come to he who waits. If I had started collecting at your age.....
Andrew,
They are around, just burried in collections. Hell, Uncle Bill probably has 6 or 7 of them!
Nick,
Hunting with the 43 has to be a hoot. I'm sure it gets the job done.
I don't hunt but I have a couple of Mod. 71 carbines that I would love to go boar hunting with someday. One is an original Haenel sporter that is a real beauty. It's off topic but maybe I'll post a photo of it someday.
The 98k would be a fine deer rifle, no question.
