I got a line on a PTRD and some ammo who else here owns and shoots this weapon?
The reason I ask is some people have told me not to fire the current ammo as it was made for the heavy machinegun not the single shot rifle, any truth to this?

Hi Octave, indeed I do own a PTRS. It can be seen on the first link I posted. (And on several Russian websites as they have robbed my photos, but what the heck)

I am looking for a PTRD to complete the "set". They are impossible to find over here at the moment. A friend in our LH group has got the nessasary Police paperwork to posses one live, but cannot find one for "love nor money".
