Hello, anyone seen the k98s and mg42s coming out of albania? I bought a k98k the other day from one of the batches, it is very nice, much better than a Russian captured example. Not many matching numbers however, they have not been refinished or renumbered. Looked also at the mg42s, same original condition. Does anyone know what else they got in Albania?

The guy was at Beltring the guns are from Yugoslavia not Albania the K98s are not wonderful condition and all the bits are mismatched early and late war bits together and very few of the numbers match they are not really anything special but they haven't been refinished like a lot on the market. I had a good look at the mg42s and without exception they were again bag of bits m53 parts and mg42 parts mixed together there are far better on the market in fact Ryton Arms have some really nice ones at present

The guy i spoke to toldme his came from albania. I bought my k98 from worldwidearms, normally i am not impressed with their stock, however, their k98s were very clean and were not very mucked about with, yes they were mismatched but not totally, also the early ones retained early parts as did the late ones. The one that i bought was a lubecker 1940 rifle with early buttplate, trigger gaurd, floor plate etc. Unfortunately no sight hood or cleaning rod though!!!
