Anyone know what the going rate on these are?

I picked one up earlier last year... It's not perfect. But it's definitely a bringback. All matching and in original condition with all matching little parts.

The only drawback is that the previous owner installed a front swivel sling on the front. (Why, I don't know!)

Seen some for 500 to 1000 dollars

Nice rifle, but the only thing I dont like is the fact that the former owner thought he needed a front sling swivel.

          Where?

I can't seem to find very much info at all, no-less any currently for sale. The only one I've seen is an older Gunbroker Auction for $2,000

Unfortuntely not much info exists on this interesting rifle.

If you or any readers have any info or links, I'd be most appreciative.

          Thanks.

                Leon,
I went to your sight and recorded the serial numbers off your your two 29-o's for my database. I now have 10 serial numbers recorded...to include yours and mine.
If you want the other 7 let me know.....these are really scarce rifles.
                R.B.

29o's were made by pre-war Steyr/Austria and patterned after their M29 export. These have been confused with 29/40 variations but are substantially different and in fact very dis-similar. The 29o represents an exclusive contract and procurement by the Luftwaffe during the pre-war period. Should you ever see other than a E/L marked specimen - run like hell.
