Doc, very nice example and as mentioned, rare to see the curved bolt handle on a MP40. Any story with this one? Tim.

I love them all but a note for everyone...

try take your photos using NATURAL light with the flash turned off. The pictures of you guns (especially blueing) will look far more original (and much better)

The flash will make give your guns a faded look and use a good background colour to enhance the shot. I try and use a green felt cloth background on blued steel guns and sometimes use red felt/cloth if it bis mainly wood.

And...... before and after all your mates have put thick sticky paws all over them wipe them down with a suitable gun oil. I would suggest most MP40 surface corrosion is from human sweating hands.

I was offered a MP-38 reciver claw type complete like on this MP40.
The one offered to me was nearly untouched! Anyone know of value on such an item????

a very nice Steyr-Daimler-Puch indeed, with the early rare bolt pull. It's in used condition but very nice indeed.
