    Cleaning & Maintenance

I bought a deactivated Canadian (Long Branch 1942) Sten MKII about 6 months ago and I was wondering what would be the best way to maintain it and ensure condition did not deteriorate??

    Regards,

    Des

Try WD-40 works great,no build up ,displaces water, and use gloves when handling weapon.

Hi Des, I too use WD-40 on my Stens. Make sure that they are cleaned after handling and you should have no problems. The phosphate / parkerised finish mags, most often found on Sten MkIV's are a devil for rusting from fingerprints if left uncleaned.
      Cheers, Ade.

Great! WD40 it is then. Thank for the info guys!

By the way Ade, did you know your mug is on the box of "Elite Force British Paratrooper 12" Figures? LOL I had a good chuckle when I spotted that when I was in a toy store with my GF`s younger brother the other day. The photo is from the King and Country book.

        Regards,

        Des

            BOESHIELD

BOESHIELD T-9. Found at many boat stores. Boeing developed it for their planes and it went commercial. Displaces and keeps water away much longer than WD40 IMHO.
