What size flare did the WWI German Flare Guns Use?

I just wondered if the WWI longer barreled German flare guns used the same 27mm flare as the WWII flare guns. Anyone know? Thanks

Yes, it was the same flare cartridge.. as the single bbl. ones. The Navy (KM) Stainless Steel single and double bbl. guns were the same also...BILL
