Dummy MP40 Project

Hi All,

Can someone provide me the dimension of A, B, C, D. (length & Width)
I'm trying to build a 1) PVC 2) thin Aluminum dummy receiver to fit into replica MP40.

So far, I'm trying to gather the material (PVC or Aluminum) from Home Depot. Note: PVC may work, If I sand the surface and painted with metal blued color.

Do you have the rest of the parts? If so you could just line up the other parts and get a rough fit for a dummy?

Actually, I would like an exact measurement. The whole point is to match
WWII spec. Actually, if someone has Japanese Mp40 Marushin's dimension is fine for me too.

From an MGC68 replica

A is .782 inch wide
B is .902
C is .368
D is about 7.9 inches.

Steel conduit can be had at the hardware store, about 1 1/2 inch diameter, that will fit inside the mag housing and about 1/4 into the back of an original or MGC replica. Looks better than plastic....harder to cut though...

Sorry, I gave the width of the channel instead of the locking cutout for C. I think the slot is a bit wider than an original MP40, but don't have a real one handy to compare it with. New C measurement, .520 inch
Length from front of bolt slot to end of reciever tube, about 4.55 inches. I think the MGC68 is quite close to a real one here...
Your back measurement is a little harder - its about 1.75 to the center of the radius on the back.
Actually, if you buy one of those cheap, @20 dollar airsoft spring-gun MP40s off Ebay or somewhere, that will give you a much better start of making a dummy. I'm cutting a bolt slot and ejection hole in mine, painted the stock brown already - looks pretty good...
