    K98 snipers.....

Here are some of my favorite snipers. I never messed with the odd stuff, or the super rare, just like the textbook ones. All are matching (except mounts/scopes)....have checkered buttplates, proper modified safeties and some access. The two LSRs are "bcd4"s and the high turret is a "ce44". The scope cans are original, none of those bogus ones out of France which have flooded the market.

Hello, I'm new to this forum.(Hi, Brian!)
Interested in WWII German rifle scopes. Are the two on the rifles bek DIALYTAN 4x scopes? And one on the bottom left AJACK 4x90? Love to see more close-up pics!
Anyway, thank you very much for posting
        Regards, Ken

It is in "Back Bone of the Wehrmacht" by Law, in the back.

Yes Ken, you are correct..........the top and bottom scope on the LSRs are "bek".......the middle one is a "bmj", as is the one on the bottom right. And yes, the bottom left is a "Ajack 4x90"......all correct military issues scopes with climate codes/colors. Good eye....

And, the winter trigger on the top "bcd4" LSR is a very rare phosphated one made by "ofh", if anyone is interested in those things.

                      Hi Willi,

never knew you were "in to" snipers as well!
                      Fantastic rifles!

Here's a few of mine, not as nice as yours but they are the real deal.

                      Best wishes,

                      Ben

LSR with rare bmj LSR scope.
I have never seen this combo before and always thought that this particular BMJ was only made for the SS single claws.

                            Hi Ben,

Funny how FJ/airborne types like snipers too! You have some nice rifles and scopes too! It looks like you have some nice early turret rifles. Are any low turrets?

On the scope issue, your "bmj" is correct with that early milled LSR mount. It is the recoil ring on the scope that is the key between a "bmj" scope used on a single claw "bnz" rifle or one used with a LSR. Every "bmj" I have ever seen on a single claw "bnz" was withouth that recoil ring. And, every correct "bek", "dkl", "dow" or "bmj" I have seen on an untouched milled, 17mm or 22mm LSR mount has had the recoil ring.

                            All very cool stuff......

                              Willi,

I think it comes with the "trade".

When I purchased this bmj it kind of intrigued me as I had never seen this particular bmj (with the two separate lens bells) as a lsr version, only as a single claw.

I have only one, scopeless, low turret rifle.
It is in a deplorable condition and really needs to be restored. It has no stock and is missing a few parts. It stood in a wet place for over forty years.
However, the nice thing about it is that was used by FJR-6 during the battle for Woensdrecht!

I took pictures of two more of some my camo FJ helmets, I will post them shortly on the FJ board, I think you'll like them.

                              Best wishes,

                              Ben
