Cleaning kit - K-98 question.

I bought a cleaning kit for the K-98 - no markings on it .
Is this a post war kit ?
No Waff. mark or makers code that I can see.

Quick one on K-98 markings.

Hi James, if it is devoid of any markings it could be a commercial contract one or a foreign contract example. I think many plain unpainted tinned examples have come from Egypt in recent years.

The dou k98 is commom as far as seeing them for sale now and then but as far as production numbers I dont know.You wont see them for sale as often as Oberndorfs and Sauers though because they were the two largest manufactures of k98s during the war.

Ade ,sounds like the one I have , must take a looka round for a marked version when the notion takes .
