I was wondering if anyone out there had a original box or pictures of Luger P08shells. I received two boxes with a recent vet bring back "black widow". The box I have is definetly from the period. On the end of the shell there are marks "Wa" and "42" and "5t or st" and the "7". If anyone could help me out i would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

The headstamps you describe sound fine to me and are correct for WW2 9mm rounds made by "wa" which = Hasag (Hugo Schneider AG, Abteilung Lampenfabrik, Leipzig.) in 1942. "St" is standard and 7 is the lot number.

My experience has been that boxes of WWII 9mm ammo (unless a rare variation) will sell for between $10 & $30 depending on the seller and the buyer. Sealed boxes are worth more. If opened, rounds all matching the codes on the box are worth more. Condition of the box and the rounds (if you can see them) is a factor, also.
