    Proof Mark Question

    I know I should know better, but what is the significance of this proof mark? I am used to seeing waffenamts. This is from a LW Flare pistol.

    That is a Luftwaffe proof marking, "eagle/2" indicating accptance by the Luftwaffe from the Krieghoff plant. The "fzs" code is the code use by Krieghoff.

      He is correct. It is Krieghoff proofs on a 1943 dated Double barrel Model "L" ( for Luftwaffe ) Flare gun.
