    Walther....PPK

I recently purchased a Walther PPK sereal Number 931XXX, with crown N proof and mottle brown wrap grip. I am interested in any information about this gun that someone might be able to offer, like date of manu. or whatever you might happen to know about it. Gun is in great shape, super shiny barrel, grips like new and all it's surface is intact cept minor holster wear at end of slide, a small spot of wear next to ejector port, and a couple of very small scratch marks. Gun has 2 Walther banner clips and a molded Walther dark brown holster with DRGM Cross Rifle Akah stamped on it. This gun does not have a loaded chamber indicator? Does anyone know anything about this gun?

    Thank you'

Hi Bill, The Crown/N Walther PPK's were pre-war production guns manufactured 1931-40. Walther banner only mags. are correct for the pistol. I would assume it is a .32 (most were) also in .22, .25 and .380. The Akah were one of the holster makers pre and war time. The indicator pin was optional at the beginning of the PPK production, near the end of WWII it was on 50% of the pistols. If I can answer any other questions or you would like to sell it or any Reich marked pistols you may have feel free to email me @ van2smith@aol.com. Greg.....Andy Van.....
