    What is the purpose for having 2 sets of sling swivles on the Vz 24? I have found alot of info on the Vz 24 but not 1 reason for this.

    Hello,

    I could not give you a text book answer but I think the reason is for comfort. It is alot easier to hold and fire the weapon with the sling below the rifle. When you are marching or riding a horse it is a lot more comfortable to have the sling at the side so you have a smooth part of the rifle against you instead of metal parts.

      Cam is right: The side swivels are made on Cavalry request, the lower swivel is for Infantry.
