Uknown MG Sight

Believed to be WWI British... but as for now... unknown.
Any help appreciated.

I believe the sight is for the doppel MG81 or MG131 aircraft mounted machine gun.

Here is a picture of the MG81 with the sight mounted. Can not tell from the picture of the sight you refered to if it is that same one or not. The MG131 could be used as a coaxial gun but was more often found static mounted in an aircraft. I do not have any pictures of an MG131 with a large ring sight. As to prices, can not help much there. MG81s are museum pieces. Rarely encountered in collections. MG131s even more so.
