    98k stock identification?

    http://rdperry.com/98k.html
Can anyone identify this stock? Is it a Kriegsmodell? On the Kriegsmodell stocks I have seen, there is no firing pin hole in the butt plate/cap to take down the bolt. Also, it is made from what appears to be solid walnut, not likely for a late war model stock. The only identifying mark is a "MK-2" stamp. I would appreciate any feedback.

Sir: Actually it could very well be a late war stock as some were solid and not laminated.....It's obvious it's a mis-match with the metal parts as the receiver is dated 1940.....Hard to say for sure whether/not it's a true kriegsmodell stock however......Cannot see IF it has a bayonet lug and provisions for a cleaning rod.....And lastly whether/not the band are held on w/wood screws.....IF it has all these characteristics, than it is a proper kriegsmodell stock......Bodes

btw....Bob is probably right....I don't see any stock proof and I don't like the shape of the stock around the bolt.....Could very well be a postwar item.....

        Thanks for the feedback

Its has the bayonet lug and cleaning rod, but no, the bands are not held on with wood screws. I've seen other photos of similar stocks but without any identification. Thanks.

            possible semi-kriegsmodell

Check out this link and scroll to the bottom:

            Could be a match?

Definitely doesn't match the 1940 receiver though!
