The spur trigger and wooden handles make me think of WWI. Spur triggers are a common 19th century double action firearm feature, and once WWII got underway most flare pistol handles were made of bakelite.
JGA could stand for the German firm J.G. Anschutz who make all sorts of target shooting guns. They still go by that name and they made flare pistols for Germany in WWI.

Your flaregun is a Druckknopf
Your flaregun is a Druckknopf. It is a WWI era flaregun, and you are correct in saying it was manufactured by Anschutz. It had a number of different barrel lenths, and yours is one of the shorter versions.
It is in rather poor condition from what I can see, and is probably worth $50 to $100 at the most in such condition. I look for other makers, or supurb condition for my own collection. Others, you will find like the " Salty " used conditions. Good Collecting, signalman
