    byf42 ..Please help on value

I picked this up over ten years ago and I have no idea of the value. I had one mauser collector chasing it for some time? I would graciously appreciate any replies on value and any info. Everything matches even the stock, but naturally the bolt don't. It has an identical rounded arched letter "M" stamped on the bolt as the breach The bore is in great shape nice heavy rifleing and shiny.....Thanks again

I think a mismatch bolt reduces value on a common code by 50-60 percent. I also like bolt mismatch rifles and think they offer value and future collectability far above the common RC import rifles, which seem to draw lines of buyers at 250-400 dollars. With a sling and hood imo you have a 500-600 dollar rifle in todays market. I've never found any of the 42 dated rifles real easy to come by, but by no means rare either. I'm sure most were destroyed in Russia, or now are overpriced RC imports.

Nice rifle! I would up the price because you are in CA though. In that are it will bring in the 700-800 range.

State boundaries are insignificant when 4-sale on a national auction site. Guys will not pay a premium (generally) for a bolt m/m. I think the 600 +/- is a good starting point...

                            Check your PM from earlier...
