Latest Find! Yet Another Krieghoff Rework!!

Well guys, the Gods of good fortune have finally shined down upon me today!
Just picked up this bad boy today. It is yet another Krieghoff "eagle/2" rework!

This one is a very special one though. Not only is it in minty condition, and looks fabulous, but because it was a rework of a WWI Navy modle luger! You can clearly still see the "crown/M" markings on the receiver!
Boy, if this baby could only talk!

    Enjoy!
    Matt

Boy, I just took a look at that first photo, and it really doesn't do this pistol justice. This thing is a lovely 99% I would say, and it has the lovely very early rust blue finish! The strawing is about 93%
Notice also the Krieghoff plastic grips, which are mint!

Top view of the toggle. The original rear part of the toggle was replaced (since it had a Navy type sight), and a standard army toggle was put in it's place. The forward part of the toggle is original though, and still bears the DWM logo, and Navy "crown" proof on the side! No date on the chamber, which is correct for this type of rework.

Notice the Krieghoff small "crown/N" proof on the extractor.

Close up view of the left side of the Krieghoff rework.

Notice the Krieghoff lazy "crown/N" proofs. Also notice that you can still clearly see the original WWI Navy "crown/M" proof markings!! Very Cool!

And finally the marking that tops them all! The lovely Luftwaffe acceptance, "eagle/2" proof on the right side of the receiver.

Hope you all enjoyed this lovely Krieghoff "eagle/2" rework as much as I did finding it!

                  Thanks Ronnie!

I knew you would love this one! I guess nobody else does?

These "eagle/2" reworks are really tough to find though! Now I have two!

                      C******180;mon Matt!
Stop killing me, mate!!! This one is awesome! A true two world wars******180; veteran. The "Luger bug" really bit you hard this time!

One interesting thing regarding the Navy Lugers is the toggle pin: the flange diameter of the Navy is .355 where the standard is .3115. The difference in diameter is very evident once they are compared.

                      Congratulations for your new kid!

                      Douglas.
