M.P.38u.40 Mags produced in 1945?

Hi there!

First timer on this forum, i collect M.P.38u.40 deacts and stuff.

A question to you all - have any one seen M.P.38u.40 mags produced in 1945?

No litterature that I have seen mentions such late production - but I cannot imagine that spares werent produced right until the end even if production of the weapon itself apparently ceased second half of 1944.

Anyone seen such a prod year - and if - who produced it?

(Im sure they exist and are out there somewhere).

The newest mag I have is 1943. However it is said that MP40 production ceased in 1944. But you got a point, they had a need for spares?

Hi again.
Several mags and marks are documented from 1944 - got one myself - a kur 44of wich there are several that i know of. Some 44 produced mags had the peculitarity of just being stamped with a single digit 4. There might perhaps be mags out there with a single digit 5 - indicating 45 without people reflecting on this.

What maker is the 1944 mag you have? Steyr?

I have 2 kur 44 from Steyr with slightly different type size - both with WaA815 and in good condition. There are also known 1944 produced ayf and gqm - possibly also other producers.

Then again - anyone seen 45 or single 5 ?

Germany had arms factorys in Czechoslovakia producing weapons well into 1945.
