Carl Zeiss Scope

Scopes aren't my thing, but a buddy asked me to try to get some info on this ... not even sure it was a firearm scope, actually it looks rather more like some sort of monocular spotting scope... (but what do I know?)

Anyone know what this is? Any ballpark value?

4 meter optic

Gregg this llooks like an optic for an early model 4 meter range finder. (possibly , or for something similar)
I don't know what value would be , depends on condition.
From the look of it someone has probably been inside it . (screw missing)
If your friend would want to sell or swap I would be interested.
