    Hi
Do you think this set is a fake? I mean NVA crap or something like that? Looks good.

    Operating rod looks quite nice.

    Regards

I agree the oiler is the most obvious! Still a lot to pay for the brush and pull thru
providing their authentic, the loader and tool are only $15.

MP44 Oiler from IMA -- picture

I ordered the accessories from IMA -- I scanned the top of the oiler showing the waffenamt. What do you think? Here's my image link: http://rdperry.com/mp44oiler.html The only other image I could find of an apparently authentic oiler looks completely different. http://www.lerenfort.fsnet.co.uk/page78.html Is that the standard 98 style oiler in there? I also found the IMA-style oiler amongst this amazing collection: http://www.germanmilitaria.co.uk/misc.htm#mp44ckit (scroll down the page.)

Would enjoy hearing your thoughts on this.

Well, IMHO these sets are completely postwar.

I have one of these oilers as well (given to me by a friend) without the WaA. The colour is more like a bundeswehr olive green and does not resemble the green / blue seen on other equipment / weapon parts

The other picture you show of the MP44 shaft is a normal K98 oiler.

            My guess is yugo stuff....

            Just my .02 cents

I am positive that it’s fake! The same 623 waffnampt has been applied to my
Norwegian MG34 front sight tool that IMA is selling as “original”
              <O</O
Its funny 2-3 weeks ago I informed IMA that they were Yugoslavian, the must have sent Someone to the back room with a stamp
              <O</O
Here is some discussion on the front sight tool

I ended up returning the set. I'm exchanging it for the operating rod. The oiler itself is definitely not worth $65 and the mag loader was stamped with a star although the quality looked good.

In regards to the WaA623 there are traces of the old olive paint in the stamp indicating it was stamped before it was painted, so I don't think IMA or anyone else has stamped these recently. Curious.

That is their MO to paint over the fake stamp, that way when your cleaning its like Oh look what I found it has to real!
